Toronto-based AVcommunications brought Canada to the forefront of multicultural advertising international recognition with three 1st place wins in the NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications) EMMA (Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards) 2018 competition. The agency won top spots in the Marketing Tactics element of the EMMA and will receive the award in New York City on October 16, 2018.
The “Smart Choice” campaign won top honours in Content Marketing. Original social media content presented Arbor Memorial as a smart investment choice—an investment one can’t do without since death is inevitable—thereby turning a repulsive topic among its Chinese target audience into sage advice.
“Amaze Yourself” placed first in two categories, Print and Online Ads. The voluntourism campaign showed Cuso’s world of social cause, exciting adventure, and self-discovery. The platform had a distinct look and feel. The slogan, accompanied by intriguing headlines, was placed against a backdrop of Cuso volunteers… in action… in the community… in their moment of amazement!
This campaign also won a bronze for Online/Digital/Social under the Online Campaign category in the Summit Creative Award (SCA) 2018.
The SCA of Summit International is a premier indicator of creative and communication excellence and only rewards work that exemplifies the best in its class. NAMIC presents EMMA in recognition of the top marketing campaigns and tactics aimed at multi-ethnic audiences.
