Joycelyn is responsible for the strategic vision and business strategy of AVcommunications and its subsidiary media division, Digital Avenue East (DAVE).
With over 20 years’ experience, prior to joining AVcommunications, Joycelyn served as global marketing leader across a variety of industries including, financial, non-profit, retail and technology. She led the Product Marketing team for Western Union in Canada, driving multicultural product development and pricing as well as innovative campaigns with agent/partner brands: Scotiabank, Walmart, Sobeys, Safeway and BMO Financial. In 2015, Joycelyn launched the digital business for Western Union in Canada, driving a significant transformation for the brand, which led to her appointment as Global Customer Engagement Marketing Go-To-Market leader for over 200 countries.
As AVcommunications’ executive leader, Joycelyn brings a strong knowledge base in digital, performance marketing and customer journey based integrated strategy. She is a self-professed data/analytics/KPI “geek” and will gladly build a custom dashboard for any client looking to model “how their marketing campaign contributed to business results.”
Joycelyn’s storied marketing career further propels AVcommunications’ ability to deliver impactful, effective, and measurable success for its clients—all in conjunction with the agency’s vision of being a primary advocate for the multicultural communities it connects with and serves.

Business Director

Shah is responsible for developing new business strategies for AVcommunications as well as manages some of the Agency’s major accounts.
He has over 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising and shopper marketing.
At AVcommunications, Shah has successfully handled global accounts and industry leaders such as Western Union, Cineplex, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, BMW and Toyota. He has spearheaded the development and execution of nationwide campaigns and instrumental in the continuous growth of existing accounts as well as acquisition of new ones. As a project lead, he oversees both digital and traditional campaigns and is accountable for its success.
As a new business lead, he takes an active role in responding to RFP’s. Recently, he led an RFP pitch for AMEX which involved managing the digital and creative team into successfully getting shortlisted.
Shah heads DAVE (Digital Avenue East), a Chinese media subsidiary of AVcommunications, focusing on WeChat advertising. He is responsible for client acquisition and overall business growth for this unit. He oversees product development, working closely with a Chinese content team.
Before moving to Canada, Shah was the marketing and advertising manager of Metro a leading retail chain in Pakistan where he was responsible for increasing sales through marketing, promotions, loyalty programs and merchandising.
Shah holds an MBA in Marketing at the Lahore School of Economics.

Zeno L.

Creative Director

Zeno has over 25 years of experience working in the advertising and design industry. He has been with AVcommunications’ for over 10 years and as creative director, is responsible in overseeing all creatives meet high standards.
Prior to joining AVcommunications, Zeno worked in JWT Hong Kong. In addition to his solid experience in print, TV and graphic design, Zeno is a versatile digital professional – an adept videographer/ editor and a seasoned creator of online experiences. His versatility extends to writing insightful Chinese copy that has won creative awards.
Zeno’s technical skills include building websites with HTML5, PHP, Javascript. An avid follower of digital trends, he seamlessly adapts to the latest and greatest technology to create digital assets. From animated web banners to email blasts to responsive websites and online videos, his experience as a digital creative runs the gamut of all digital formats and platforms. He is responsible for the agency’s SEO.
Zeno is the lead behind many award-winning artworks from BMW, McCormick, Estee Lauder and World Vision. He has been part of the jury at several multicultural marketing award shows.
